Travels with the Nikkels

Sue and I enjoyed many great vacations over the years. In the 90s our family went for a holiday every summer. From July of 2001 to August of 2003, Sue and I took a couple of years off to travel the world. We had so much fun that in 2008 we did it again. After I retired from teaching in the summer of 2010, we were free to travel as much and as often as we liked. And we liked it a lot!

After Sue passed away at the end of 2017 I went on a few trips together with friends Dave & MaryLou: first to Portugal and a year later to Merida in Mexico. I’ve taken quite a few winter holidays to Arizona and California, and enjoyed having my family join me there. And for the last number of years I’ve had the pleasure of travelling together with Naomi Stobbe. For many of my trips I’ve kept a blog, but not always. Sometimes I’ve taken lots of photos, but not always.
